2008 Della Keats/U-DOC Program Dates:

June 29 - August 8

The Della Keats/U-DOC Summer Enrichment Program is a program offered through the University of Alaska WWAMI Biomedical Program. The goal of the Della Keats / U-DOC Program is to foster, affirm, and encourage high school students’ interest in the medical professions by allowing them to explore health-care careers and to obtain a valuable introduction to college life.

Current high school juniors and seniors who meet one or more of the following criteria are eligible to apply for the program:

There is no fee for participation in the program, and dormitory housing is provided at no charge. A small stipend may be provided to cover food costs and miscellaneous expenses of participating in this program.

The   North Star   project is a part of the Della Keats/U-DOC Program. The North Star project is a program of the Imaginarium which seeks to increase the number of Alaskan students that pursue health sciences in college and in their careers. To do that, it will work with participants in the Della Keats/U-DOC Program at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

NOTE: Current high school juniors who wish to be considered for the Della Keats / U-DOC Program must identify an appropriate mentor in their home school or community who is willing and able to assist them with their North Star project during the 2008-09 academic year. A Mentor Form, to be completed by the mentor, must accompany any junior's application for that application to be considered.   Click here to download the Mentor Form.

Applications are no longer being accepted for the
